Title: Comparative Analysis of PID and Fuzzy Logic Controllers for Automatic Daylight-Based Lighting Control Systems Keywords: Automatic lighting system, Fuzzy logic control, illuminance control, PID control, smart buildingsAbstract: This paper presents a comparative analysis between Proportional–Integral–Derivative (PID) controllers and Fuzzy Logic Controllers (FLCs) enclosed to automatic lighting control systems in intelligent buildings. The target of both control strategies is to sustain stable indoor illuminance while optimizing energy consumption and ensuring visual comfort under changing environmental conditions. The comparison is led in terms of performance metrics, including response time, robustness, stability, adaptability, and energy efficiency. The research estimates the effectiveness of both approaches in maintaining constant illumination levels in the environmental changes variations and system fluctuations. References - H. S.
