Title: Test Audio and Video Data Definition for Quality Assessment in Open RAN Simulation Model

Abstract: Open Radio Access Network (Open RAN) architectures enable flexible, virtualized, and vendor-independent deployment of radio access networks. For real-time delivery of audio and visual information over Open RAN-based systems, objective and repeatable quality assessment requires the generation of representative test audio and video datasets. This paper proposes a methodology for definition, creating and testing the appropriate structured test audio and visual data suitable for quality estimation in Open RAN simulation environments. The generated datasets are designed to evaluate the impact of radio conditions, functional split options, fronthaul latency, packet loss, and scheduling strategies on perceived audio and video quality. The proposed approach supports future research on optimization and quality-of-experience (QoE) improvement for multimedia services delivered over Open RAN systems.
