Title: Dynamic Analysis of the Processes in Pulse-Width-Modulated DC-DC Converters
Keywords: DC-DC converter, pulse-width modulation (PWM), PWM control system dynamic chaos

Abstract: DC-DC converters are a component of many power supply units that provide various DC voltages supplies. A key element in their circuit is the power switch, which is turned on and off by a control system. Among the most used methods for electronic switches control is Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM). The control voltage determines the switch's position. As a result, the configuration of the electrical circuit changes, and the converter's circuit changes as well. All of this affects the stability of the processes within it. In this paper, the dynamics of the processes in a buck converter with a PWM control system are considered. It is shown that under certain conditions, a chaotic regime may occur.
