Title: Formation, Morphological Characterization and Magnetic Behaviour of Amorphous Ferrite/Porous Anodic Alumina Composite Structure
Keywords: amorphous magnetic materials, magnetic properties, nanocomposites, nanoporous anodic aluminium oxide layer

Abstract: In the present study, a nanocomposite structure comprising nanoporous anodic Al2O3 (AAO) is formed by filling the pores of AAO with synthesized ferromagnetic nanoparticles based on mixed ferrite. The synthesized ferromagnetic nanoparticles are studied by SEM-EDX, Dynamic Light Scattering and XRD, and it is found that by ultrasonic treatment with polyethyleneimine, they could be successfully stabilized to significantly smaller than the initial size. It is also found that the as synthesized nanoparticles demonstrate an amorphous structure. The formation of the composite by filling the pores of AAO with stabilized nanoparticles is studied by SEM, in order to investigate the penetration depth of the nanoparticles. Finally, studies of the magnetic characteristics of the prepared nanocomposite are performed, deriving data on the magnetic moment, saturation magnetization, magnetic anisotropy and coercivity of the nanocomposite under consideration.
