It examines the specific characteristics of contemporary learners, representatives of Generation Z, and cites a number of documents that outline policies related to qualification and professional standards for the teaching profession and new competencies that are required in education in the modern digital era. Surveys conducted among engineering students are cited, clarifying their attitude towards the use of innovative technologies such as virtual reality and artificial intelligence for the purposes of foreign language teaching at university. Hypotheses and theses are presented on the application of technologies as part of the pedagogical toolkit for teaching and learning in the 21st century, with a focus on learners. Библиография Издание
