Title: Economic and Energy Analysis of Lighting Technologies in Industrial Enterprises
Keywords: economic analysis, energy efficiency, energy management, payback period, Total Cost of Ownership

Abstract: This article provides an in-depth economic analysis of two main types of industrial lighting: fluorescent lamps and light-emitting diode (LED) lamps. It aims to support the decision-making process for replacing the lighting system in an industrial plant. Lighting is a significant energy-consuming component in most industrial sites, often accounting for 10 to 40% of total electricity consumption. Choosing the right technology can lead to substantial savings, especially over long-term and continuous operation. LED technology is increasingly popular due to its high energy efficiency, longer service life, and lower operating costs compared to traditional fluorescent fixtures. However, the initial investment in LED lighting is often higher, necessitating a detailed economic analysis to justify the decision. This study compares the main technical characteristics of the two types of lamps and applies a model to calculate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), including lamp prices, electricity, and maintenance costs, as well as the payback period and net present value (NPV).
