Abstract: This article presents a designed model of a hybrid optical wireless and radio communication system for managing livestock farming systems. The possibilities for reliability of the communication link in the designed system, possibilities for adding new functionalities and flexibility of the proposed solutions are considered. Such a type of system is applicable for building both communication links between individual units in such a system, and for building a complex communication system including live monitoring, data storage in a data center, data processing, analysis, and results output. The future development of such a system is the integration of artificial intelligence and adaptive deep neural networks for processing results and predicting events. This would be of enormous benefit to the users of the system, as well as to the quality of livestock farming.
