Title: Analysis of Cutting Parameters in Turning Processing of Workpieces from Calibrated Steel using Multi-Pass Operations Keywords: CNC machine tools, cutting parameters, efficiency improvement, multi-pass operations, processing modes, turning machinesAbstract: This paper examines the process of high-quality workpieces manufacturing from calibrated steel. The features of the CNC lathe under consideration, as well as the corresponding processing modes are presented, based on the geometric model of the respective workpiece and the requirements for the quality of the production. The following machining regimes are studied: drilling, internal threading, multi-pass turning and and parting-off. The cutting parameters are analyzed in order to increase the efficiency of the studied turning machine. The multi-pass operations are illustrated with appropriate pictures and experimentally recorded oscillograms of the respective current pulses.
