Autors: Bodurov, G. P. Title: An Evaluation of Losses in the Three-Phase 12/8 Switched Reluctance Motor Keywords: Copper Losses, Core Losses, evaluation, FEM, Switched Reluctance MotorAbstract: The efficiency of the SRM is significantly impacted by the losses occurring within the active component of the machine, mostly copper (in the coils) and iron (in the magnet core). In this paper, motor losses are estimated by applying the 'equivalent frequency' approach to determine the losses in iron. Then, the analytical results are compared with the simulation results obtained using the Infolytica MotorSolve simulator. References - R.
