Title: Application of LTSPICE and Octave in Analysis of Electronic Schemes and Memristor-based Circuits Keywords: course works, education, electrical engineering, GNU Octave, LTSPICE, memristor circuits, Microsoft TeamsAbstract: This paper presents some applications of computer simulations in teaching students in electrical engineering, in design of electronic schemes and memristorbased circuits. The work includes some areas related to lectures, seminars, laboratory practice and course work on fundamentals of electrical and electronics engineering. Utilization of open and free software as LTSPICE and GNU Octave could help students in understanding more easily the main principles, laws and methods in electrical and electronics engineering. The comparison of simulation results derived by LTSPICE and Octave and the analytical solutions is important for better understanding the material. In this work, some typical examples on solutions of engineering problems are presented for illustration the significance of computer analyses and simulations for independent and home student work, together with laboratory practice and seminars. Sharing of such solutions between students and educators in real time by online platforms as Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or Zoom could make education more interesting, attractive and efficient task.
