Title: Model reference adaptive control of axial piston pump Keywords: Abstract: The paper is devoted to synthesis and implementation of a model reference adaptive controller (MRAC) for real-Time displacement volume regulation of an axial piston pump. The controller of the developed real-Time system evaluates control signal values applied to the proportional spool valve. The proportional valve is used to actuator for displacement volume regulation of the pump. The MRAC controller is synthesized based on the experimentally identified model from measured data. For the purpose of identification and experimental study of the designed controller the authors have used an existing laboratory test bench. The designed controller is compared with a conventional PI controller by experiment and numerical simulations. The control performance analysis is fulfilled by comparing of transient responses at various references of pump flow rate during the different load modes.
