Abstract: In this article, we have presented some of our measurements based on our research on measuring heat and noise sources in smart cities. A distributed sensor system using optical, acoustic, radio communication and thermographic sensors has been designed to collect information from various points of interest in the infrastructure of smart cities. Monitoring heat and noise in smart cities contributes to making effective decisions regarding maintaining both the quality of life of people in these cities, as well as the flora and fauna and the overall eco-system in cities, which is of utmost importance nowadays.
