Title: Cybersecurity Concerns and Implementation of Defense Methods in Monitoring of Smart Cities Keywords: artificial intelligence, cyberattack, cybersecurity, defense, internet of things, monitoring, smart cityAbstract: Smart cities have been invented and developed due to their sustainability and efficiency of operations. Because of the advancement in technology, smart cities not only better the everyday operations and quality of life of people, but they also help battle with climate change globally. Artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and Automation are some of the new solutions that are being used. Of course, with the implementation of such technologies the risk of cybersecurity breaches increases, due to the value of the data collected. Vulnerabilities regarding the infrastructure and the integrity of the data can be exploited by malicious intruders over the internet. Monitoring systems for security events have been implemented to observe the network and alert in case of a cyberattack. In this research a defense method has been implemented to secure the reliability of the Smart city.
