Title: Driving System Control of a Device for Passive Rehabilitation of Knee and Hip Joints
Keywords: drive system, knee and hip joints, passive rehabilitation, rehabilitation device, stepping drive

Abstract: This study focuses on the development of a drive and control mechanism for a passive rehabilitation device targeting knee and hip joints. Based on the operational principles outlined, key steps in the design process of the device have been formulated. Modeling and simulation of the drive system, utilizing a two-phase stepper motor, have been conducted through the Matlab/Simulink platform. For the practical implementation, an Arduino microcontroller is chosen and control algorithms have been developed using the Arduino IDE. The paper includes diagrams and photographs illustrating the drive system configuration and its application during rehabilitation procedures. The findings from this research provide a basis for the further development of drive systems for similar rehabilitation devices.
