Title: Analysis of a Novel Electromagnetic Harvester
Keywords:

Abstract: The paper presents a new design of an electromagnetic harvester. It consists of a spring fixed at its lower end, a permanent magnet at its upper end and a coil above the magnet. The magnetic field of the new electromagnetic harvester is modeled by the Finite Element Method using the FEMM 4.2 software. Based on the numerical results, the magnetic flux densities, magnetic flux and induced electromotive force of the coil are calculated. The accuracy of the numerical model is verified by comparison with measured data and the relative error in the output voltages and power at different loads is calculated.
