Title: Simulations of Control Algorithms in Intelligent Substations Keywords: distribution network, matlab models, simulation models, voltage regulationAbstract: Modern distribution networks are in a stage of transformation. The first type of transformation is in terms of their transition to grids with available distributed sources of electricity, the other one consists in changing the load profile of the connected consumers of electricity. The transformations lead to a widening of the range of voltage deviations and changes in the reactive loads. The effective control of the voltage variation within acceptable limits requires new approaches and technical solutions. Smart substations and the formation of smart grids are the trends to address these and other problems in energy systems. In this paper, a distribution network model is developed that can be used to simulate variable operating modes of both loads and power sources. An algorithm for centralized voltage regulation in an exemplary network has been developed and implemented. References - Matanov, N. S., Nankinsky, P. N., Stoev P.
