Abstract: In this paper is presented a test bench for research on multiple operation modes in small-scale power systems: micro-, mini and nanogrids. The hybrid system is composed of a photovoltaic simulator, a controllable AC load, a battery bank and SCADA system. The operation of the test bench is studied by five different scenarios in grid-connected and standalone modes. The presented test bench can be used for testing and standardization of grid-connected and standalone inverters, MPPT trackers, research on the stability of small-scale power systems and for educational purposes in the corresponding courses.
