Title: Wi-Fi HaLow Wildfire Sound Detector Keywords: audible noise, embedded system, forest fire noise, sound detection, Wi-Fi HaLow, wildfireAbstract: The expanding severity and occurrences of wildfires has led researchers in search for new technologies and applying cutting-edge solutions for the early detection of such fire hazards. Within this work we propose a Wi-Fi HaLow wildfire sound detector. Described are the spectral specifics of forest fire noise, the Wi-Fi HaLow standard and its advantages. The prototyped system was subjected to tests capturing real sound data from fire and non-fire events and distinguishing between them by means of sonogram analysis.
