Title: PEODT:PSS TRANSPARENT CONDUCTIVE FILMS ON FLEXIBLE SUBSTRATES FOR OPTOELECTRONIC DEVICES APPLICATION: IMPACT OF THE TEMPERATURE ON THEIR ELECTROMECHANICAL BEHAVIOR
Keywords: PEODT:PSS, transparent conductive films, flexible substrates

Abstract: As the modern optoelectronic devices tend to be produced on flexible substrates, the stability of the separated films at bending and increased temperature becomes important issue for the flexible structure’s reliability. Conventional indium tin oxide (ITO) transparent anode deposited on flexible substrate exhibits excellent electrical and optical characteristics, stable even at temperature variation. However, it is brittle and its mechanical durability is low. In contrast the conducting polymer polyethylene dioxythiophene doped with polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS), have great mechanical elasticity and stability, but it is more sensitive to temperature changes. It seems that PEDOT:PSS can be suitable substitute for the ITO in the flexible devices, however the impact of the temperature on its electromechanical behavior should be extensively studied. In this paper we investigated the influence of the temperature and bending on the electro-optical characteristics of PEDOT:PSS films.
