Title: Radiationless energy calibration of radiation survey meters

Abstract: Nuclear spectrometers and/or dosemeters using photodetectors is proposed and investigated. Visible light pulses with different intensity and duration are used for irradiation of the detector instead of nuclear radiation sources. The calibration procedure is described in detail. Experimental results with a dosemeter for aerospace applications are presented and discussed.
