Title: Material alternative to ITO for transparent conductive electrode in flexible display and photovoltaic devices
Keywords: polymeric thin films, transparent electrodes, flexible displ

Abstract: Transparent polymer of PEDOT:PSS has been deposited by spin-coating on the top of flexible polyethilenetherephtalate (PET) substrate for display and/or solar cell front panel electrode instead the conventional indium tin oxide (ITO). The aim of this material’s replacement is the necessity to increase the mechanical stability of this electrode even after multiple bending – property failing for ITO. Another advantages of polymer using are the easy processing (solution preparation) and low cost deposition (spin-coating in our case). Although similar researches can be found in the literature, the novelty in our experiment consists of preliminary heating and ultraviolet (UV) exposure of the flexible substrate. By introduction of this treatment we have succeeded in improving of the wetting conditions on the PET surface and achieving of high coating’s uniformity. The conductivity, transparency and mechanical stability at bending of the prepared structures were measured.
