Abstract: The current publication aims to bring clarity on the interconnection between the opportunity to achieve energy efficiency and simultaneously influence to the greatest possible extent the cyclic processes in the human body, that are dependent on light. To achieve the goal set, an experimental study on radiant emittance of different LED retrofit lamps as well as conventional light sources is made and their influence on the five types of photoreceptors in the human eye is estimated numerically.
