It addresses the benefits of immersive and haptic technologies and the challenges to their seamless integration in healthcare scenarios, with a focus on enabling 6G attributes and the related key performance requirements (KPIs). Virtualization and inducing intelligence in the Radio Access Network (RAN) under the Open RAN paradigm is explored as a service-specific network-oriented approach to support real-time personalized services, and very low latencies.
