Title: Construction and Testing of a Hydraulic Flow Meter in a Hydraulic System
Keywords:

Abstract: The testing of different types of hydraulic elements and systems is directly related to the ability to measure several basic parameters in hydraulics, such as pressure and flow rate. Pressure can be measured relatively easily by attaching control points to measure pressure in the system by means of manometers. Measuring pressure in hydraulic systems is much easier and much cheaper than measuring flow rate in a given system. Apart from the expensive turbine hydraulic flow meters which are most commonly used in practice, the present work offers an alternative concept for flow rate measurements within the range of 0 to 25 l/min. The elements used for the system build up are given and explained. The method and the system test results are presented and analyzed. It is also made a comparison between three experiments that was made.
