Title: Analysis of the Quality of Polymer Parts for Automatic Assembly Keywords: automatic assembly, defects (deviations of shape, dimensions Abstract: In the current paper are systematised base defects (deviations of shape, dimensions, position of surfaces, axes, etc) of polymer parts, subject to automatic assembly, mainly caused by fluctuating specifications of raw materials due to different supply lots, varying dimensions of moulding tools used for production of different batches of parts, non-conformity to the prescribed technological process. These defects should be taken into consideration during the quality analysis of the parts that are to be assembled. The results from this analysis affect to a great extent the future reliability and productivity of the technical equipment for automation of assembly processes. Due to its significance, this analysis is among the main phases of a special methodology for design and manufacture of automation equipment, based on long-term experience at KMS ENGINEERING Ltd, Bulgaria.
