Абстракт: The Cardan joint is a type of rigid compensating coupling, used for compensating deviations in the relative position of coupled shafts. Due to the constructive features of this type of joints, in the process of transmitting movement, torque and power from one shaft to the other, irregularity in the operation of the coupling is observed. At constant angular velocity of the drive shaft, the driven shaft rotates with periodically changing angular velocity. A theoretical study of the irregularity of a Cardan joint is presented in the paper.
