Title: Short Circuits Through an Electric Arc for a Physical Model of AC Traction Networks

Abstract: In the work, a device was designed and developed to extend the capabilities of a “physical model of AC traction networks”. Part of the short circuits occurring in the traction networks is through an electric arc at the point of the short circuit. An electronic block for simulating arcing short circuits for a laboratory model of AC traction network has been developed. With the help of the developed device, an electric arc with different parameters can be simulated. In this way, the capabilities of the physical model are supplemented to simulate all variants of short circuits in AC traction networks.
