Title: Web-based calculator tool for FPGA power consumption estimation for teaching purposes Keywords: FPGA, power consumption methods, VHDL design, analysis Abstract: Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) are reprogrammable integrated circuits that are used to implement custom digital logic designs. FPGA power consumption is an important factor to consider when designing and using these devices. The power consumption of an FPGA is influenced by several factors, including the size and complexity of the design, the technology used to implement the design, clock frequency, features, and capabilities of the FPGA. Generally, larger and more complex designs require more power to implement. FPGAs are fabricated by using more advanced technologies, such as 28nm or 16nm, which tend to consume less power than those using older technologies, such as 90nm or 65nm. The clock frequency is another important factor that affects FPGA power consumption. The higher the clock frequency, the higher the power consumption. This is because the circuits in the FPGA have to switch more frequently, leading to increased power consumption. FPGA power consumption is a complex References Issue
