Абстракт: The article deals with the issue of emotional intelligence and the possibilities of its application in the work of the teacher and how emotionality can be part of the pedagogical interaction so that it can facilitate the implementation of effective, goal-achieving learning. Sources are cited on studies and research that address the topic in secondary and higher education and offer models of emotional intelligence made up of different partitions related to emotions and intelligence. Conclusions and implications are drawn that identify the importance of considering the emotional element in teaching practice and the need for teachers to be aware of and modify their emotions to the demands of the educational environment and classroom work.
