Research interest in the topic grows in various directions, from mathematical modelling to energy saving solutions. Still, door recognition and locating, and further robot/manipulator approaching algorithms are the main and must tasks have to be solved. The paper presents a study on a door opening task for an omnidirectional mobile manipulator based on visual information.
