Abstract: Studies have been performed to establish the duration of the modifying effect of nanodiamond (ND) nanomodifiers on the structure of the AlSi18 alloy after the first and second melting, using a pre-modified with ND alloy. Experiments have been performed at different operating temperatures. Microstructural analysis has established the retention of the modifying effect of the used ND nanomodifier.
