Title: Wave Digital Method as an Efficient Modeling Tool for N-way Gysel Power Divider Keywords: Gysel power divider; transmission line; wave digital model Abstract: To provide a modeling tool, microwave engineering researchers have envisioned for a few years to use the wave digital approach (WDA) and its properties to serve as an efficient method for device modeling. Transmission line-based wave digital solutions can be used to simplify the engineering of complex microwave circuits such as power dividers/splitters. Indeed, planar microwave structures invite one to combine the behavior of transmission lines with that of the lumped elements. The modeling approach of microstrip structures, based on WDA, deprived of different transmission line sections has so far been dedicated to the case of simpler 2-way Gysel power divider. This work, therefore, aims at extending the former study on power dividers to N-way Gysel power dividers. The validity of such a method is then assessed by comparison with the numerical simulation results obtained using different simulation softwares. References Issue
