Abstract: The main goal of this paper is to highlight the significance of IoT applications and smart ports, the advantages of embracing these cutting-edge technologies in developing nations like Albania, and the sensitive subject of energy efficiency management in general and specifically at the Durrës Port Authority (DPA).The ideal time to adopt all available technologies to increase the energy efficiency parameters in a port depends on how delicate the issue of energy conservation is in the given situation. A model is proposed for simulations of energy efficiency in DPA using solar panels and IoT.The other point of this paper is to educate port users about the importance of acting with greater awareness and sensitivity when interacting with the environment, taking into account all the variables that contribute to a better quality of life and safety, and recommending and putting into practice management techniques that are geared toward achieving the improvement trend.
