Title: COMSOL MODELLING AND SIMULATION OF ACOUSTIC BARRIER SOUND ABSORPTION WITH DIFFERENT WALL THICKNESS
Keywords: COMSOL modelling, active noise control, attenuation levels,

Abstract: In this paper we have studied the level of attenuation in a barrier element at different frequencies and different wall thickness. The attenuation at different frequencies is studied by appropriate design of the barrier profile performing source and reflected acoustic waves interference in small volumes near the barrier. These volumes of intensive acoustic waves have frequency bands of high acoustic energy levels and are suitable for energy harvesting. Through numerical simulation we have investigated the influence of the wall thickness and the most appropriate places inside the barrier profile, where the generated energy is higher. Based on results analysis, conclusions about sound energy harvester usage are made.
