Abstract: Self-driving vehicles are the engineers dream since the dawn of transportation. In recent years it becomes reality thanks to the modern technologies. Autonomous vehicles are designed to be connected cyber-physical systems. This is possible mostly due the rapid advancement in Industry 4.0 and the concepts of smart cities. This arises the danger of illintended actions towards such systems. This article will explore how such system works, the most common security flaws and how engineers aim to remedy them. Based on the results, the article will propose a method of how such system can be protected.
