Title: Resistance against changes in Bulgarian industrial enterprises – reasons and methods for overcoming Keywords: industrial enterprises, organizational change, business proc Abstract: In today’s highly competitive business environment, unless an organization possesses mechanisms required for gaining immediate knowledge of changes and the ability to deal with them quickly, it will not grasp the opportunity to remain in the realm of competition. To make the organization to get a high level of success, they are applying new ways of management to extend the improvement and increase the enterprise profit. This is done by rethinking and redesign of business processes which is called business process reengineering (BPR). The publication clarifies the reasons for resistance to change and methods for overcoming it. The specific techniques and tools needed to deal with the resistance in the implementation of reengineering projects are presented (analyzed) and specific steps are proposed to change the attitude of the staff of the new situation in the redesigned business processes.
