Абстракт: The application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is widespread in various areas of people's socio-economic life. Much of the information that people deal with on a daily basis is spatial. The report examines the main trends in the development of this type of systems, their modern features and the possibilities of their application in various spheres of business. The various stages in the development of GIS up to the present day have been traced.
