Abstract: The article presents experimental results for the performance of single-cylinder diesel engines with direct injection working on dual-fuel mode. To organize a gas-diesel process compressed nature gas (CNG) is used. The main characteristics of the used test bench are described. An analysis of the effect of the CNG on the performance of diesel engine at constant load and different CNG mass fractions also at various loads and constant CNG mass fraction is made. By the conducted experimental test is determined that the working of diesel engine on CNG-diesel cycle leads to: deterioration of the fuel economy of the engine at low and medium loads, however at high loads no significant effect on fuel economy parameters is observed; significant decrease of CO2, NOx and soot emissions and increase of CO and CH emissions.
