Title: The Role of Thermography in Cattle Smart Farming: A Review
Keywords: Biomedical Imaging , Cattle , Infrared Thermography , Smart

Abstract: Modern cattle smart farms are gradually adopting infrared thermography as an essential tool for evaluating the State-of-Health of their animals. The goal of our work is to introduce a more comprehensive animal model, aiding the next generation of intelligent bio-monitoring systems. Described are: bovine biology, tissue mechanics, hair covering effects, thermal windows for the biomedical observation and detection of different clinical conditions and infectious diseases. Discussed are the physiological and behavioral changes induced by animal handling and environmental influences.
