Title: Modeling of Thermally Activated Fe2O3 / Li2CO3 Electrochemical Cell
Keywords: electrochemical electrodes, electrolytes, equivalent circuit

Abstract: In this work, modeling and testing of thermally activated electrochemical cell with potentially significant energy density is performed. It is a Fe2O3 | Li2CO3 electrochemical cell, operating at temperatures above 723 °C. Coupled air flow and temperature distribution model has been created to estimate internal operational conditions for thermal stimulation at solid anode electrode and liquid electrolyte. Estimated results for battery internal equivalent circuit are presented. Cell parameters are temperature related and shows huge dispersion according to non-homogenous temperature distribution. Electrochemical cell is applicable for energy storage and CO2 capturing devices.
