Абстракт: Hypereutectic aluminum-silicon alloy AlSi18Cu5Mg has been modified with beryllium in concentrations of 0.005, 0.007 and 0.01%, respectively. The compositions have been subjected to T6 heat treatment. The corrosion and electrochemical behaviour of the alloy in 0.1M H2SO4 has been studied both before and after subjecting it to heat treatment. Evaluation of the obtained results has been made.
