Абстракт: Възможно ли е артистът да се продава успешно извън галерийното пространство? Заслужава ли си поетият риск от злоупотреба с портфолиото на всеки, решил да заяви и представи себе си като творец във виртуалната среда, достигайки до широката публика? Докладът търси отговор на тези и други въпроси, свързани с възможностите и предизвикателствата, които предлагат социалните медии, разглеждани като маркетингови средства – част от глобалния пазар на изкуството. Представени са плюсовете и минусите на различни социални платформи, за които освен силно портфолио са нужни и познания от сферата на арт мениджмънта.

Abstract: Is it possible for the artist to sell successfully his/her art outside the gallery space? Is it worth the risk of misusing the portfolio of anyone who decides to declare and present him/herself as an artist in the virtual environment, reaching the general public? The report seeks to answer these and other questions related to the opportunities and challenges offered by social media, seen as a marketing tool – part of the global art market. The pros and cons of various social platforms are presented, for which, in addition to a strong portfolio, knowledge in the field of art management is also needed.
