Abstract: The present paper concerns the controllable parameters for direct metal deposition technology (DMD). It demonstrates milestone stages of the part production using direct metal deposition and it concerns the possibilities for manufacturing turbine blades using non-conventional additive manufacturing technology. Evaluation of the geometry of the produced component is done using a high resolution 3D scanner.
