Guidelines for the adoption of a quality management system related to TQM are given by the standard ISO 9001: 2015 of the International Organization for Standardization. Quality 4.0 refers to the digitalization of overall quality management and its impact on quality technologies, processes and people. It builds on traditional quality tools and also takes into account connectivity, intelligence and automation to improve productivity and make timely, data-driven decisions in a final scenario involving all stakeholders and ensuring visibility and transparency.
