Abstract: In this paper is presented an application of PSpice simulation in the teaching process, concerning discipline “Circuits and signals”. Harmonic analysis of a rectangular periodic signal has been done both with the help of analytical transformations and on the basis of computer simulations. The main goal is to increase students' knowledge in their training about the nature of the processes, by means of modern, advanced and interesting methods. For this purpose, rectangular periodic signal is investigated and its harmonic or spectral analysis is performed. The periodic signal in Fourier series is presented as a system of trigonometric functions with multiple arguments. The spectral analysis is analytically defined and the simulation model in PSpice environment is composed. The analytical results are compared with those obtained from computer simulation.
