Title: Analysis of Operating Modes of Lithium-Ion Battery in MATLAB/Simulink Environment
Keywords: battery, energy efficiency, modelling

Abstract: This paper presents a detailed analysis and modeling of lithium-ion battery behavior using the MATLAB/Simulink environment. A simulation model based on the Sheppert equation and extended with filtered current and exponential voltage dynamics was developed to replicate charge and discharge processes. The model parameters are derived from manufacturer data, requiring only three characteristic points for accurate simulation. Experimental validation with a 12V/7.2Ah battery shows good agreement with the model, particularly during discharge, though discrepancies arise in the exponential zone and during charging. Future improvements aim to enhance model fidelity by incorporating variable resistance and additional real-world effects.
