Title: Analysis and modeling of ferroresonant overvoltage in electric grids
Keywords: electrical networks, ferroresonant overvoltages, mathematical modeling

Abstract: The paper makes an analysis of the ferroresonant overvoltages depending on the influencing factors and operating conditions. The process of ferroresonant overvoltages occurrence in extra-high-voltage power lines is described. The occurrence of ferroresonant overvoltages during saturation of the magnetic cores of power transformers is considered. The sequence of modeling ferroresonant overvoltages is described. Methods of mathematical modeling; of approximation of magnetizing curves and methods of analyzing electric circuits are used. Ferroresonance phenomena in electric circuits are modeled and measures for their prevention are identified. The obtained results are useful for the operation of electrical networks.
