Title: Experimental Investigation of Axial Hydrokinetic Turbines
Keywords: confusor, experiment, hydrokinetic turbine, utilization of energy

Abstract: In this paper, various types of prototypes of small axial hydrokinetic turbines are presented designed, built and tested in laboratory conditions to prove their operability and efficiency. The hydrokinetic turbines have a diameter of 0.1 m, with a different number of blades and are tested in a free water stream flowing at a velocity of 0,1; 0,2 and 0,3 m/s. Experimental studies are carried out in a specially designed closed-loop laboratory installation or testing prototypes of hydrokinetic turbines. The revolutions of rotation of the turbines are measured. The research includes three measurements: 1. clear stream; 2. with 1 confusor on and 3. with two confusors on in front of the turbine
