Title: Testing Methodology for Measuring Carbon Dioxide Concentration, Temperature, and Humidity Under Surgical Face Masks
Keywords: carbon dioxide concentration, personal protective equipment, protective face masks, respirators, temperature and humidity

Abstract: This study aims to develop a methodology for testing face masks by measuring carbon dioxide concentration, temperature, and humidity. The study focuses on three types of surgical face masks from different manufacturers. The experiments conducted demonstrate that the proposed methodology is effective in determining the levels of carbon dioxide, temperature, and humidity retained under the masks. It was found that Mask 1 is best for comfort, Mask 2 is optimal for consistent performance, and Mask 3 is suited for better. The choice depends on which aspect-temperature, consistency, or CO2 management-is most critical for the intended use.
