The sustainability of the economic system and the concept of inclusive economic growth and development are identified as relevant areas of discussion as there is a need to move towards practical insights which provide active and realistic policies that enable the transformation of learning, teaching and research practices. Educational models seeking to integrate research activities as part of the learning process become crucial in the development of competencies and skills that help us to navigate the complexities of the global economic and political systems.
